Care Network Cambridgeshire – registered charity

By | May 17, 2018

Care Network Cambridgeshire is a registered charity and has been serving residents of Cambridgeshire and adjoining areas for over 30 years. Many of their services are Free, funded by grants from various sources and increasingly by local donors and fundraising activities.

They offer free short-term practical help to vulnerable individuals in their own homes, perhaps after a hospital stay, illness, or to prevent hospital admission, or social isolation.

They do not replace statutory services or offer those reasonably available elsewhere and this service is available to anyone over the age of 18.

Services can include checks to ensure someone is ok, collecting prescriptions or shopping, accompanying someone to the shops or appointments, arranging other services such as meals on wheels, referring on to other public and voluntary services.

Care Network is about the replicate these services within the Peterborough Unitary Authority and they are currently looking for volunteers, who will receive full training, DBS checks and provided with mileage and out of pocket expenses and appropriate ID badges.

They are looking for your support in identifying potential volunteers within the  Parish, who can support the local community with these services.
